1st Woodcutts Scout Group - Night Hike 27th Feb 2016
What an amazing weekend! We would like to say a HUGE thank you to 1st Woodcutts Scouts for their fundraising efforts this weekend. Last night 24 Scouts and 4 leaders set out, in near freezing conditions, on a 14km night hike. The task was made even harder by the fact that each Scout had to carry either a 4 or 6 pint container of water for the duration, as a reminder of the distances young people the same age in Uganda have to walk to fetch water. The Scouts raised a fantastic £300 - well done! Every penny of this money will be spent on our projects, installing rain water harvesting and water storage facilities enabling children to access drinking water.
